It’s celebration time from Apple one of the most valued tech companies in the world as it has launched an all-new MacBook Pro. It not only recognized for expensive products but also for their quality standard. Apple is very consistent in upgrading their products and now, they have brought some new laptops in the market. Newly upgraded versions of all-time favorite new MacBook Pro(13-inch) and new MacBook Air(13-inch) with some blossom discounts for students.
So, whoever was waiting to buy a MacBook, congratulations!✌ because Apple has just released a couple of MacBooks to its existing lot. Moreover, its time for university students to join therefore, they are offering some attractive discounts as well.
What Are The Upgrades In MacBook Pro?
Well, Apple has just announced two new 13-inch MacBook Pros. They have decided to discontinue the touch bar-less models which were introduced in 2016. In addition to this, the 2018 MacBook Air also gets a minor update. The upgrade now brings in the support for True Tone to the device’s Retina display.
True Tone is the display technology that matches the whiteness of the display with respect to the surrounding ambient lighting. For instance, if you are in a room that has yellowish lightning then the mac screen will adjust itself and become a bit yellowish to give you a sense of natural light.
However, you will witness bigger updates in the Pro line. Apple has replaced the older version and introduced two all-new 13-inch MacBook Pros with TouchBar. The usefulness of touch-bar was debatable but, Apple has decided to go for it. These products now bring more stability and flexibility to Apple’s laptops line-up.
What is New In MacBook Pro?
The MacBook Pros will come with a touch-bar. Additionally, the new models will come with only two Thunderbolt 3 ports that a bunch of relief for many of you I guess. Since it was opposed to four as seen on the 2018 Touch Bar 13-inch MacBook Pro. The 2018 13-inch Touch Bar MacBook Pro is significantly more powerful and comes with four Thunderbolt 3 ports.
The specs of the new models are:
- CPU: 1.4 GHz quad-core 8th gen Intel CPU
- GPU: Intel Iris Plus Graphics 645
- RAM: 8 GB 2,133 MHz LPDDR3
- Storage: 128 GB / 256 GB SSD
- Display: 13-inch Retina Display with True Tone
- Features: Touch Bar and Touch ID
- IO: 2x Thunderbolt 3 ports
But, one thing that we still wonder is why Apple is still offering a 128 GB storage option on a “Pro” device. Even a phone comes up with larger storage than this. The pricing becomes shocking, with an upgrade to 256 GB storage costing $200 in the US.
What’s The Price?
Apple has always been notorious when it comes to price and its the same case this time around as well. You have to expend about$1,299 / $1,499 in the USD or around Rs 1,19,000 in Indian rupee to have this product on the table. However, college students can get the base model at Rs 1,11,264 which is still a lot of money.
It always a dilemmatic situation for the buyers when Apple launches the products. We observe the new MacBook Air, unchanged except for the addition of True Tone support. It still features a low power dual-core Intel CPU, 8 GB RAM and 128 GB of storage.
But, the Air is offered on a discount for its base model priced at Rs. 92,704 for the students. However, the pricing still steeps when compared to international markets. But, when compared with similarly Windows machines, the value proposition isn’t too terrible.
